Saturday was a beautiful day - started own in the fifties, didn't get higher than low 70s if that high, not a cloud in the sky.
I headed out east on GA 53, on through Gainesville & Winder over to Wilkinsville to see the covered bridge there. Just after starting I wasn't paying enough attention and nearly drove into the rear end of a vehicle that was making a left turn, fishtailed the bike and skidded a bit but recovered ok. Just a reminder that you need to be damned careful and watchful at all times.
The bridge is down a little side road just south of Watkinsville, goes to one lane, thankfully still basically paved, then a 90 foot tunnel through the bridge to the far side. I didn't get any good photos, was very bright out and I didn't get the exposure right at all.

On the way back I took 53 back to Winder then 11 up through Jefferson back to Gainesville - I meant to stop at the giant rabbit in Rabbitown but missed it.
It was a nice ride, great weather and clear roads for the most part, a nice relaxing 147 mile ride.
Route there and back again
